We utilize the Deo Ca Tunnel to bypass the steep gradients and sharp curves of the old mountain pass. The Quy Nhon National Highway 1D bypass is our preferred entry into the city to avoid the heavy industrial traffic in the northern suburbs. We avoid smaller coastal tracks which are often unpaved or blocked by local markets.Operational Reality
Morning departures face heavy motorbike congestion leaving Nha Trang through the northern suburbs. The stretch between Tuy Hoa and Song Cau is prone to sea mist during the early hours which can reduce driving speeds. Heavy trucks transporting marble and granite from Binh Dinh province occupy the right lane frequently on this corridor. We monitor the weather closely from October to December as heavy rain can cause localized flooding on low-lying sections of National Highway 1.Seasonal Notes
